Skyline Travel Group's booking platform was running on aging, on-premise infrastructure that had become a genuine operational risk, with no real disaster recovery plan and increasingly frequent performance issues during high-traffic booking periods.

The platform had accumulated years of undocumented dependencies, and any migration risked breaking integrations nobody fully remembered configuring. Skyline could not tolerate any meaningful downtime during the move, since bookings happened around the clock across time zones.

We conducted a full dependency audit before touching anything, then migrated to AWS in controlled stages, moving non-critical components first and validating each stage before proceeding. The critical booking system itself was cut over during a carefully planned low-traffic window with the old environment kept live as an immediate rollback option.
The migration completed with zero unplanned downtime, and Skyline saw an immediate, measurable improvement in platform stability and page load speed during subsequent high-traffic booking periods.
"We were genuinely nervous about this migration given how much depended on the old system quietly working. It went so smoothly that our support team did not receive a single downtime-related ticket." — Chief Technology Officer, Skyline Travel Group
