Horizon Manufacturing was running inventory, production scheduling, and procurement across three separate spreadsheets maintained by three different teams, none of which reliably matched each other. Monthly reconciliation alone was consuming days of staff time every cycle.

Inventory counts were frequently wrong because updates in one spreadsheet never reached the other two in real time. Production planning was based on stock numbers that were often a full day out of date, leading to material shortages mid-run and costly rush orders.

We built a custom ERP system centralizing inventory, production scheduling, and procurement into one shared source of truth, with role-based access so each team saw exactly what they needed. Real-time stock updates replaced end-of-day manual entry, and automated low-stock alerts replaced guesswork-based reordering.
Within the first full quarter on the new system, Horizon eliminated the monthly reconciliation process entirely, cut material shortage incidents substantially, and gave leadership real-time visibility into production status for the first time.
"We used to spend the first three days of every month just figuring out whose numbers were right. That process does not exist anymore, everyone is looking at the same real-time data now." — Operations Director, Horizon Manufacturing Co.
